Why the calendar matters for an hourly signal
Technical readings assume an orderly market. Around major releases such as Federal Reserve decisions, inflation, employment
and growth data, gold can move tens of dollars in minutes and spreads widen, so hourly averages and oscillators lag badly.
The signal feed sets event_risk to true when a listed event is within 120 minutes, so an
Expert Advisor can pause new entries.
No scheduled US data overnight; Asian session liquidity is thin. Tuesday 8:30 AM ET durable goods and 10:00 AM ET consumer confidence and new home sales, Wednesday 2:00 PM ET Fed decision (pause widely expected), Thursday 8:30 AM ET growth and inflation.
